I wonder what became of Alphonse ?

A couple of brief snippets from the Sporting Times issued 3rd September 1927 !

Bert Temple had a 'pet' stuffed alligator whom he named Alphonse. Alphonse was attached astride the luggage racks on Bert's car and was a common site seen around the streets of London ( later articles report) .
Bert also had a set of 'large cufflinks' attached the the raditor grille of his Armstrong Siddeley car, what a sight that must have been - especially with a stuffed alligator on the roof.

To err is to be human - to reallly foul things up requires a computer.
